Lewis Hamilton has stayed on top during the second practice session at the Korean Grand Prix, again beating second-placed Sebastian Vettel to deny him a run of seven consecutive FP2 fastest laps. Nico Rosberg demonstrated the Mercedes’ pace, close behind Vettel and half-a-tenth ahead of Red Bull’s Mark Webber. Felipe Massa was an impressive fifth for Ferrari while Fernando Alosno finished the session in seventh, behind Romain Grosjean. Kimi Raikkonen was back on track after his heavy FP1 crash and finished in eighth while Jenson Button and Adrian Sutil rounded out the top ten.
Paul di Resta was eleventh in the other Force India while the Mexican duo of Sergio Perez and Esteban Gutierrez were twelfth and thirteenth. Nico Hulkenberg was fourteenth ahead of the two Toro Rosso drivers, led by Jean-Eric Vergne, who occupied fifteenth and sixteenth. It was team by team after this, with the Williams duo of Pastor Maldonado and Valterri Bottas leading the Caterhams of Giedo van der Garde and Charles Pic, and the Marussia duo of Jules Bianchi and Max Chilton, the latter taking twenty-second and last on the time sheets.
