Kobayashi Crashes Ferrari In Moscow Demo

Former Sauber driver Kamui Kobayashi crashed a Ferrari during a demo in the Russian capital of Moscow yesterday.

The 26-year-old was driving the F60 in the demo which also featured McLaren’s Jenson Button and Max Chilton for Marussia. Kobayashi had only started his run when he was caught out in the tricky conditions and spun into a barrier.

Luckily, Ferrari had a spare car on hand and Kamui rejoined the track for another run, this time without incident.

“The track was very slippery and there was a marked bump at that point, which is why I hit the barrier. A shame, but I am pleased the team let me out again after a few minutes,” Kamui said.

Kobayashi lost his drive at the end of the 2012 season when he failed to finance his seat and now races for Ferrari in GT racing.
