Brothers In Arms: Spanish Marshalls Pay Tribute To Mark Robinson

Marshalls in Spain have paid tribute to the Canadian marshall who lost his life at the Canadian Grand Prix last week.

The 38-year-old man who has been named as Mark Robinson was clearing away Esteban Gutierrez’s stricken Sauber post-race when he was involved in a freak accident with the crane which was moving the Sauber to the pitlane.

In a mark of respect to  Mark, marshalls from the Circuit de Catalunya, which hosts the Spanish Grand Prix, left a message on The Random Palette with the above picture and the comment, “Here in Catalunya, some of the Track Marshalls decided we needed to do something to show our deeply sadness about the loss of Mark. This is why we have taken this picture in his memory”.
