Former Sky Sports F1 presenter, Georgie Thompson has made a return to the sport just months after quitting it.
The Briton who was the face of Sky Sports News for eleven years, made the move to the revolutionary Sky Sports F1 channel in 2012 only to be sidelined as Sky bragged former BBC stars David Croft and Martin Brundle.
She was instead restricted to presenting the Friday night The F1 Show or reviewing on-track action from the Sky-Pad with Anthony Davidson. Asking to be promoted to a more central position on the channel, she was refused and then left the channel.
But now she’s back. The 35-year-old is the new face of Suremen who sponsor Lotus F1 Team.
“It’s great to be involved in a campaign focused on F1 and Suremen is such an exciting brand to be involved with, especially given the strong early season form of the Lotus, with Kimi Raikkonen winning the first race,” She said.
“It’s a brand that fits really well with the fast-paced and exhilarating F1 lifestyle – I’m really looking forward to being a part of such an exciting project.”
