Barrichello out, Senna in at Williams

Nephew of Ayrton Senna, Bruno Senna, has found a drive for the 2012. The driver who had an eight race long campaign with Renault (Now Lotus) Was dropped by the team (Along with team mate Petrov) In favour of the returning Kimi Raikkonnen and Romain Grosjean. It was believed that Adrian Sutil or Rubens Barrichello were the most likely to get the seat at Williams until it was announced that Adrian Sutil would go on trial for Grievous Bodily Harm against Eric Lax, Owner of Renault, who he attacked in a nightclub in China last April.

It seems that Williams have gone for the money instead of the much needed good driver to drag the team out of the black hole they are in. Last year was the worst season Williams have ever had, Finishing 9th place in the constructors with 5 points.

A massive online campaign had begun, especially on Twitter with an Icon called a Twibbon being added to thousands of Profiles to save Brazillian driver Rubens Barrichello and keep him at Williams in 2012. 2012 would have been his 20th season in the sport. And it seems, Formula One’s most experienced driver ever, is about to back out of the sport, without so much as a goodbye.

Ayrton Senna’s nephew Bruno, Who shares the same last name, Began his Formula One career, driving for new team Hispania. At the end of 2010, He was dropped from the team and faced not having a drive for the 2011 season. However, When unfortunate Polish driver, Robert Kubica suffered his near fatal crash in February 2011, Bruno was likely to step in as replacement, Only for Renault to pick Nick Heidfeld instead at the last minute. However, Bruno returned to F1 in Belgium 2011, driving for Renault when they dropped Heidfeld after a disappointing run. Bruno scored a great 7th place in his first qualifying with Renault only to crash into half the grid at the start and finish in 13th place, Outside the points. He finished 2011 with a lonely 2 points.

There is one seat left on the grid, At Hispania. Pedro De La Rosa makes his return after a year out (Excluding filling in for Injured Perez at Canada) and it is not known who will be his team mate.
